2023-24 SEASON Growth in numbers and strength are just two big ways the team prospered this season. Challenges like facility changes were no match to the determination of the crew to train hard and race harder. The team travelled to Kansas, Illinois, and Tennessee this season, resulting in an incredibly successful year. ACRA 2023
OKState Rowing embarked on a journey to Oak Ridge, TN for ACRA Nationals, accompanied by their largest group of rowers to date. They boasted an impressive lineup consisting of 2 varsity 4+'s and 2 novice 4+'s. The team secured a silver medal in the Novice Women's 4+ category. Additionally, one of their members earned a well-deserved spot on the ACRA Plains Regional Team. 2022-23 SEASON
This season, OKState Rowing experienced unprecedented growth. With more boats and rowers than ever before, the team enthusiastically tackled regattas in OKC, Wichita, and beyond. Their remarkable progress during this exciting period showcased their determination and left a lasting impression. ACRA 2022
On May 18th 2022, OKState Rowing set out to Oak Ridge, Tennessee to compete at the ACRA National Championship for the first time since 2019. They proudly placed as follows: Women's 1x: 1st Place, Grand Final (Rebecca Korn) Women's Novice 4+: 5th Place, C Final 2021-22 SEASON
The team came back to the racing scene with a bang in 2021. After a year of no racing, the crew was ready to get back on the water and win some medals. And so they did. With many placings over the season, the team grew exponentially and made up for the year that COVID took away from the team. 2020-21 SEASON
This season looked much different than others thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. But a pandemic did not stop the crew from pursuing their passion of rowing. Instead of rowing in 4's and 8's, the team safely practiced in singles on the water. Though there were no regattas or training in the same boat, the team still found a way to grow and train to be even better than before. BUILDING THE SHELTER
In late 2020, with the support of friends, families, and alumni, the team was able to get together to build a much needed boat shelter! After this project, the team no longer had to keep their boats outside and exposed to the elements, but rather could keep them safe and sound. This also gave lots of room for the team to grow their fleet of boats and oars. |
2018-19 SEASON
OKState Rowing was reborn in 2018 by a small committed group of students along with a coach from Cincinnati with practically no equipment and minimal funding. In traveling to OKC and Wichita to place in regattas, they paved the path for all future OKState rowers to come! |
