Ergathon

Setting an ambitious goal of 1 million meters (over 600 miles!), OSU Crew conducted a 24 hour fundraising drive. The Ergathon, along with our fall letter writing campaign, helped raise $35,000 to fund our Spring racing schedule and construct a facility to protect our equipment!

Shocker Sprints

The Fall 2019 novice class got their first taste of spring racing in Wichita, Kansas at the 2020 Shocker Sprints erg racing competition! Along with getting to race against some of their rivals for the coming months, the novice women swept the competition, taking 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the 2000 meter sprints!

COVID-19

With the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in America, Spring training was cut short, following the cancellation of all university activities and classes moving online. The team also went virtual, using remote training for the rest of the semester and putting a hiatus on rowing until Fall 2020.

OSU Crew goes to Devon!

All students were invited to try out this fantastic sport by joining us Saturday 9/1/18 and Sunday 9/8/18 at the Devon Boathouse to learn the basics of rowing.

We used the rowing machines, indoor rowing tanks and barges to get the Cowboys out on the water in preparation for Lake Carl Blackwell.

Rowkraft Beacon Navigation Lights:
To accommodate student class schedules, our crews are often on the water before sunrise or after sunset. Navigation lights on each shell and launch are critical to ensure visibility of our crews and launches. These waterproof, rechargeable beacons are visible from over a mile away, ensuring that all of our boats are visible to fishermen, pleasure boaters and each other in even the darkest conditions.
Additional needed: 5 pairs (Bow & Stern)
Price: $95/pair ($505 for 5 pairs, mounting clips and team charging dock)

Lake Carl Blackwell Boathouse

"It's a great art, rowing. It's the finest there is. It's a symphony of motion. And when you're rowing well, why it's nearly perfection. And when you're near perfection, you're touching the Divine. It touches the you of yous. Which is your soul."

-George Yeoman Pocock    (Boys in the Boat, 2013)
